Bicycle for Two Race

Bicycle for Two Race

[15 Minutes]

Use your bicycle riding skills and ride as slowly as you can to win this game. Playing this game will help improve coordination, balance, and concentration.

You'll need:

• bicycles • chalk

What to do:

  1. If possible, print out these directions. Read them through together before you begin.
  2. With your child decide on a place to mark off the race course.
  3. Let him use the chalk to draw two lines that are parallel, 3 feet wide, and spaced 10 feet apart. The distance of the course depends on how much space is available in your area. Fifty feet is optimal.

How to play:

  1. You and your child pick a lane and ride down that path as slowly as possible.
  2. The last one to finish wins!

Useful information:

I thought this would be easy, but it was really challenging to ride as slowly as possible. I raced my step dad, we both finished at the same time. This is a good way to work on balance. (David, age 10)
