PB and J Puzzle Sandwich
[15 Minutes]
Make lunchtime a fun experience. Entice your child with a sandwich cut into puzzle pieces!
You'll need:
2 slices of bread peanut butter jelly cookie cutters (optional) plastic knife (for child) sharp knife (ADULT USE ONLY) plate
What to do:
- Help your child spread peanut butter on one slice of bread and jelly on the other. Put the bread slices together.
- With a sharp knife, cut the sandwich into 2 or 3 puzzle pieces. You can use a cookie cutter shape in the center as a recognizable shape. (The other pieces are cut to fit around this shape.)
- Place the pieces randomly on a plate. Encourage your child to fit the puzzle pieces together before eating the sandwich.
- As a variation in flavor, try peanut butter and honey or sliced bananas.
Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.
