[20 Minutes]

This no-bake snack recipe will appeal to your sense of no-time/no hassle and your child's sense of messing about in the kitchen.

You'll need:

• graham crackers (one or two) • 3/4 cup peanut butter • 1/2 cup honey • 1 tsp. vanilla extract • 3/4 cup dry oatmeal • 1/4 cup raisins • measuring cup • measuring spoons • zip-lock bag • bowl • mixing spoon

What to do:

  1. Show your child how to crush one or two graham crackers by putting them into a zip-locking bag and hitting them on a table with her fist.
  2. Invite your child to help you mix the peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, dry oatmeal, graham cracker crumbs, and raisins.
  3. Let her help you roll the mixture into balls.
  4. Enjoy with a glass of milk.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • Did you like smashing the graham crackers? How did they change?

  • What other cookies do you like?
