Paper Snowflakes
[30 Minutes]
Guide your child through the fun process of cutting snowflakes. You'll be doing a traditional activity used around the world!
You'll need:
white paper safety scissors colored construction or tissue paper glue string
What to do:
- Fold paper squares into quarters and then fold again for a triangle. Show your child how to snip out small wedge-shapes from each edge and unfold to form a snowflake.
- Make pretty ornaments by placing colored paper between two white snowflakes.
- Glue all the sheets together and place a loop of string inside for a hanger.
- Use the snowflakes as you sing this song (Tune: "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"):
Snowflakes falling gently down, Whirling, twirling all around, Slowly falling to the ground, Landing softly without a sound. Snowflakes falling gently down, Whirling, twirling all around.
