Star Mobile

[25 Minutes]

Create this mobile to use as a decoration in your child's favorite space or to give as a gift.


You'll need:

• aluminum foil or reflective paper • scissors • string • clothes hanger • glitter stick • star stickers

What to do:

  1. Look for a starry night. Together with your child, go outside and look at the stars.
  2. Sing this classic song:
    Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
    How I wonder where you are,
    Up above the world so high,
    Like a diamond in the sky,
    Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
    How I wonder where you are."
  3. Back inside, invite your child to make some special stars. Let her tear shapes from reflective paper or aluminum foil.
  4. Help your child decorate the shapes with a glitter stick. Invite her to add star stickers to the shapes.
  5. Put a hole in the top of the shapes and attach different lengths of string to each shape.
  6. Hang the stars on a clothes hanger to create a mobile.

How to use:

Together with your child, choose a spot to display the mobile for the entire family to enjoy.
