Purple, Green and Yellow
by Robert N. Munsch
Firefly Books LTD.
Brigid is having fun with her markers until she goes overboard and paints on herself with her super-indelible-never-comes-off-till-you're-dead markers. Nothing will remove the color, so she finds the purple marker and covers up all the other colors. She looks better than before--too good to be true.

Let's Talk:
Ideas to Explore Together
Before you read: What is your favorite color? Why?
As you read: What do you think "super-indelible-never-come-off-till-you're-dead-and-maybe-even-later" colored markers are?
After you read: How did Brigid cover up all the purple, green, and yellow so that her mother wouldn't know that she colored herself? Did it work? Why or why not?
