An Owl Sandwich

[20 Minutes]

Even your pickiest eater will give a hoot for this special snack sandwich.


You'll need:

• 1 slice of wheat bread • cheese spread, peanut butter or favorite spread • hard boiled egg sliced in half • cheese slices cut into triangles • plastic knife

What to do:

  1. Invite your child to spread her favorite spread on the bread slice.
  2. Encourage her to slice the egg in half and use to represent the big owl eyes.
  3. Using the cheese triangles she can fashion the ears, beak and feet of the owl.
  4. Have a hoot enjoying your snack together.
