Remember the game A My name is Alice? Playing this game with your child helps build language skills and challenges thinking skills.
You'll need:
paper and pencil (optional)
What to do:
- If possible, print out these directions. Read them through with your child.
- Explain to your child how to play the game.
- Begin with the first letter of the alphabet.
- The first person begins like this:
A my name is Alice. My husband’s name is Aaron. We live in Alabama and we eat apples.
- The second player then begins:
B my name is Barney. My wifes' name is Becca. We live in Bermuda and we eat bananas.
- Together, play this game as you go though each letter of the alphabet.
- You and your child may wish to write this down as you play.
- The next time you play, try and think of different names and places for each letter of the alphabet.
- Try to think of as many variations as possible.
