Outdoor Water Painting
[20 Minutes]
Bring dramatic play outside, as you and your child experience the art of house-painting with magical paint--called water! 
 
You'll need:
 a paintbrush or roller  a small bucket or paint pan  water 
What to do:
 -  Help your child to fill the bucket with water.
 
 -  Invite her to help you paint the fence, trees or driveway with water.
  
How to use:
 -  Demonstrate how to use each of the utensils to paint hard surfaces.
 
 -  As she is busy at work, talk about her actions.  Phrases like, "that's a big brush you are using, I like watching you move it up and down, you are just like a real house painter."
 
 -  As she is painting, recite this chant together:
Painting up, painting down, Painting all around!
