Creating with throwaways and nature finds will make your child feel proud of "recycling"!
You'll need:
egg cartons glue miscellaneous art materials and nature finds child safety scissors
What to do:
- Show your child how to cut egg cartons into individual cups, and invite him to create funny faces on the surface of the egg carton segments.
- Encourage him to create faces using foam pieces, acorns, leaves, and other decorations that can be glued on.
- Invite him to use his face puppet, putting it on his finger, while singing songs or reciting familiar rhymes.
How to use:
- Search the house and collect recycle materials to save in an "art box."
- Bring out the art box periodically for fun art projects such as collages, puppet-making, masks, sculptures, and so on. Your "junk" can extend your child's imagination through art.
