Changing Season Song

Changing Season Song

[15 Minutes]

Sing a song about the changing season. Music is a wonderful learning experience for your child!

You'll need:

• red, orange, and brown construction paper (optional) • child safety scissors

What to do:

Invite your child to sing this song about the changing season. (Tune: "I'm a Little Teapot")

I'm a little child who's aware,
Of the changes up in the air.
We see the leaves turn orange and brown.
Then we watch them fall to the ground!

How to use:

  1. Dramatize this song with a few paper props. Together with your child cut leaves from construction paper.
  2. As you and your child sing this song, throw the leaves from above to fall down.
  3. Encourage your child to imitate the leaves as they fall down.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • How do we play with the fall leaves outdoors?
  • Is it fun? Why?

Useful information:

While you are having fun together, this activity helps your child develop large muscle skills and language skills.
