My Grandparent's Day Card

My Grandparent's Day Card

[25 Minutes]

"A picture is worth a thousand words!" Your child can create a memorable card for Grandparent's Day. National Grandparent's Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in September following Labor Day.

You'll need:

• construction paper • crayons or markers

What to do:

  1. Fold a sheet of construction paper in half. Invite your child to draw a picture of her grandparents on the front cover with crayons or markers.
  2. Write this poem inside the card. Encourage your child to sign her name in her own way.
Grandma, Grandpa, (or whatever she calls them) I love you.
Shown in this card from me to you.
Sending you a kiss and a giant hug too.
Hope to make this day special for you!

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • What special things do you like to do with Grandma? Grandpa?
  • How can you show grandma/grandpa you love them today?
