Spider Web Halloween Costume

[30 Minutes]

Laugh together as you make this spooky spider web Halloween costume.

You'll need:

• old black hooded sweat suit • white fabric paint, squeeze bottle • medium-sized fuzzy spider • black plastic headband • hot glue or stapler (ADULT ONLY) • small plastic spiders • face paint (optional)

What to do:

  1. Tell your child that you will be making a spider costume for Halloween.
  2. Use white fabric paint to paint a big spider web on the front and back of the sweat shirt.
  3. Paint a few smaller webs on the black pants.
  4. Tape or staple the fuzzy spider to the plastic headband.
  5. Let your child help decide where to place the plastic spiders on the sweatshirt and sweatpants.
  6. Use two or three stitches to sew the spiders on to the clothing.
  7. You may wish to use face paint and paint a spider face on your child.
