Crunchy Leaves

Crunchy Leaves

[15 Minutes]

Take a break and together have a fun experience with the dry leaves outside.

You'll need:

• rake

What to do:

  1. Invite your child to go outside with you and play in the leaves.
  2. Show him the dry leaves and invite him to crunch them in his hands.
  3. Encourage him to smell them.
  4. Rake up some leaves together and let him feel them crunch as he walks on them.
  5. Rake some leaves into a big pile and let him jump in them and toss them in the air!
  6. Let your child keep a few leaves to talk about later.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • What were those crunchy things we jumped in outside?
  • Let's look at your leaves. Is this one crunchy?
