Pumpkin Cookies

Help your child make pumpkin cookies to celebrate the fall season.
You'll need:
store bought sugar cookies
vanilla frosting or cream cheese
food coloring
raisins
plastic knife
bowls
spoon
What to do:
- Together with your child look at a pumpkin or pictures of a pumpkin. Tell him you will be making pumpkin cookies.
- Place the white frosting into a bowl.
- Help your child add drops of red and yellow food coloring to the bowl.
- Using a spoon help him combine the red and yellow food coloring to make orange. Watch the colors as they mix and talk about the changes.
- Help your child spread the orange frosting on the cookies. Let him add raisins for the pumpkin's eyes, nose, and mouth.
