Seed Collage

Seed Collage

[20 Minutes]

Plant a few artistic seeds in your child and watch creativity bloom.

You'll need:

• a variety of seeds • glue • cardboard • pencil, pens or crayons

What to do:

  1. Look together at the variety of seeds and note their similarities and differences.
  2. Encourage your child to draw some shapes on the cardboard.
  3. Invite her to use the glue to outline or fill in the shapes with the variety of seeds.
  4. Encourage her to count the number of seeds she has placed in each shape. Talk about how you can put more small seeds in a shape and less large ones.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • What do seeds need to grow?
  • How are the seeds alike? Different?
  • Would you like to plant some seeds and see what grows?

Useful information:

While you are having fun together, your child is developing math skills and creativity.
