Peanut Butter Popcorn Balls

Peanut Butter Popcorn Balls

[30 Minutes]

Ooey, gooey, this recipe is as fun to make as it is to eat!

You'll need:

• 8 cups popped popcorn • 1 stick margarine • 3/4 cup peanut butter • 1 cup wheat germ • 1 large pkg. marshmallows

What to do:

  1. Let your child help you place everything, except the popcorn, in a pot.
  2. Stir over a low heat until melted.
  3. Carefully pour over the popcorn.
  4. When cool, invite your child to butter her hands and make popcorn balls out of the mixture.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • Do you like eating popcorn on its own?
  • How did the mixture feel?
  • What other recipes can we make with popcorn?

Useful information:

While you are having fun together, this activity helps your child develop the senses and small muscle skills.
