Making a Mother's Day Card

[20 Minutes]

Making and giving a homemade card to Mom on Mother's Day is a special moment for any child!

You'll need:

• construction paper • tempera paint • paintbrush • pen and paper (ADULT USE) • glue

What to do:

  1. Have an adult (caregiver, Dad, grandparent) help your child make a special card to give to Mom on Mother's Day.
  2. Brush tempera paint on the underside of your child's hand.
  3. Press the hand (with fingers spread apart) onto a piece of construction paper.
  4. Write the following poem on paper and glue this onto the card.
    This is to remind you
When I have grown so tall,
That once I was quite little
And my hands were very small.

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.
