Have a Parade
[20 Minutes]
Need a change of pace? Why not join your child in a parade? The musical instruments are in the kitchen!
You'll need:
wooden spoons pot lids empty coffee or oatmeal containers set of measuring spoons music (optional) dress-up hats
What to do:
- Show your child the items listed. Invite him to make noise with them.
- Suggest you have a parade! Let him choose an instrument for you and one for him.
- Sing a song such as "Yankee Doodle" or play music for marching as you both parade around playing your instruments.
- Change instruments and parade again...and again!
- Dress up the parade by wearing hats.
- Take your parade outside!
