My Family Puppets
[20 Minutes]
Take family photos and transform them into manipulative puppets that will bring joy to your child.
You'll need:
family photos or photocopies wooden craft sticks tape scissors (ADULT USE ONLY)
What to do:
- Invite your child to choose photos of several family members. Name them and their relationship to your child.
- Together tape craft sticks to the back of each cut-out photograph.
- Help her to use the puppets to interact with each other by movement and talking.
- As you pretend play with the puppets, sing this song together. (Tune: "Frere Jacques"):
We are special, we are special. Look at us, look at us. We are family puppets, we are family puppets. Play, play, play; play, play, play.
