Sandy Newspaper Chase
[15 Minutes]
Here’s a fast-paced boredom buster for you and your teen. All it takes is some newspaper and quick feet. Try this one at the beach for a real challenge.
You'll need:
2 sheets of newspaper per player the beach
What to do:
- If possible, print out these directions. Read them through before you begin.
- Gather everything you’ll need.
- When you are at the beach, draw your start and finish line in the sand.
How to play:
- Each player stands on the start line with two sheets of newspaper in hand. Place the one sheet on the sand.
- Stand on one sheet of the newspaper and hold the other one in your hand. At the sound of GO, each player quickly sets the sheet he is holding on the sand in front of him and steps onto it with both feet.
- He now picks up the first page and sets it in front of the one he is standing on, and steps on it.
- Keep repeating this process, always stepping onto the next sheet with both feet before moving the other. See how quickly you can move.
- If it is windy, the challenge becomes greater.
Useful information:
This was fun and I won! I played this game with my step dad. We kept falling down when we were trying to move the newspaper so quickly. Then it got windy and funnier. Laughing is good for you. (Joey, age 14)
