Watermelon Delight

Watermelon Delight

[15 Minutes]

Create a watermelon delight dessert together using your child's favorite juices!

You'll need:

• orange, cranberry, pineapple, or other favorite juices • watermelon balls • plastic see-through dishes or bowls

What to do:

  1. Make this with juices you have on hand; orange, cranberry, pineapple, or another one of your child's favorite juices. Let her make the selections.
  2. Help her pour the juices over pre-made watermelon balls in plastic see-through dishes or bowls.
  3. With a spoon, help your child eat her sweet treat. This dessert has juice to drink and fruit to "crunch".

Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.

  • What kind of juices did you use for your watermelon delight?
  • What other kinds of fruit balls could you use for this dessert?

Useful information:

While you are having fun in the kitchen, this activity is helping your child develop small muscle skills and thinking skills.
