Wash Day
Turn dirty into clean with this watery activity on wash day.
You'll need:
clothesline bucket warm, soapy water small articles of clothing
What to do:
- Set up a child-sized clothesline two feet high between two trees or two chairs.
- Fill a bucket with warm, soapy water.
- Invite your child to wash the clothes in the bucket. Show her how to wash clothes. Show her how to ring them out.
- As you help her hang them on the line, sing this song together: (Tune of: "Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush:"
"This is the way we wash our clothes, wash our clothes, wash our clothes. This is the way we wash our clothes, so early in the (time of day)"
