Although Worcestershire sauce was developed in India by the English, it is named after the city of Worcestershire where it was first bottled. Worcestershire sauce is a condiment made of soy sauce, garlic, tamarind, molasses, onion, anchovies, lime, vinegar, and other seasonings. It adds a real punch to soups, stews, sauces, and party mix. Serve this rich and spicy party mix at your next family gathering or whenever you get the munchies!
You'll need:
6 Tbsp. (tablespoon) melted margarine 3 Tbsp. (tablespoon) Worcestershire sauce 1-1/2 tsp. (teaspoon) onion powder 3 cups Rice Chex cereal 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal 1 cup nuts 1 cup pretzels This recipe makes 4 - 5 cups.

- Gather everything you’ll need and always remember cooking safety.
- Before handling food, be sure to wash your hands.
- Melt the margarine in a saucepan.
- Mix Worcestershire sauce and onion powder in melted margarine.
- Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
- Mix cereal, nuts and pretzels in a bowl and pour margarine mixture on top.
- Stir well with wooden spoon.
- Spread out onto a cookie sheet and cook in oven for 1 hour.
- Allow to cool.
- Store in a zip-locking bag or plastic container.
- Serve at your next party or family gathering.
Useful information:
This party mix recipe is easy to make and everyone loves it. My mom and I make two or three batches at a time. This way we have some to munch on any time! (Jim, age 14)
