White Sock Snowballs
[15 Minutes]
You don't need freezing weather to enjoy throwing "snowballs."
You'll need:
old white socks basket
What to do:
- Make ball shapes out of old white socks by folding them inside out.
- Invite your child to toss the "snowballs" to you or into a basket.
- Talk about the sizes and textures of the white balls. What about a real snowball?
- Count the "snowballs" or the number of times someone catches one.
Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.
- How does a white sock look like a snowball? How does it feel (soft or hard)?
- Where do we find snow? How does snow feel in our hand (cold, wet, soft)?
Useful information:
While you are having fun together, your child is developing eye/hand coordination and math skills.
