Guess My Art
[15 Minutes]
Here's a little book guessing game you can play anywhere!
You'll need:
pencil paper
What to do:
- Think of a favorite book you know that your family and friends have enjoyed too.
- Do not tell them the title from the book.
- Use the paper and pencil to begin drawing a character from the book. For example, if you chose the book, "Days with Frog and Toad", you could draw either a frog or toad.
- Draw only one small part of the character.
- Stop and ask the other players to guess who you are drawing and the book from which the character comes.
- If they are unable to guess correctly, draw another small part of the character and have them guess again.
- If they still can’t guess, you might tell them the name of the book.
- Players take turns trying to be the first to guess who you are drawing and that character’s book title.
Let's Talk: Ideas to Explore Together.
- Do you like to read? How many books have you read this summer?
- Other than drawing, can you think of different games to play where you guess book characters and titles?
