Sheet Painting

Painting outdoors on a large surface is a great activity to do together. The resulting mural can be used as a tablecloth for a picnic or a party decoration.
You'll need:
old sheet or large roll of paper clothesline or fence feather dusters, squirt bottles or water guns liquid starch food coloring or thin tempera paint paint containers
What to do:
- Help your child hang an old sheet or large roll of paper on a clothesline or fence.
- Use either liquid starch and food coloring or thinned tempera paint.
- Help your child choose one of the following ways to apply paint:
- Dip feather dusters into paint and "dust" onto the paper.
- Fill squirt bottles or water guns and spray the paint on the paper.
- Turn on some lively music as she paints for a movement experience as well.
How to use:
After the painting is dry, use it for a wall decoration or a party tablecloth.
